Fathers day weekend..

Yesterday Jonny went out to check the tires on the Galaxie and found that they were about to blow!! Good thing he checked because we were going to be takin' the gale out on the road. So he had to take the Galaxie to "Just Tires" and the kids and I went to pick him up, so he wouldn't have to wait around like a nervous parent. After we went back to pick it up, and left the truck in the parking lot, we headed out to Grand Terrace. This is were Jonny's good friend at work lives. He invited us over for his daughters 12th birthday. The kids were excited because it was going to have a pool, food, and cake!! The kids swam most of the time and we sat and watched the kids swim. No, no, I didn't put my bakini on and saunter around the pool. You would think that one would, but this Mama did not!! Ok, I will change the subject, and get that image outta your head! So, anyway we hung out and had a good time, cause it was a gorgeous day, perfect for swimming. Oh AND they were playin' some good ol' country music, and that made me very happy! After that we cruised home, picked up the truck and headed home. We all got ready for bed, cause we knew that we would be havin' some fun the next day!

Sunday morning, we woke up and sence we had already gave Daddy his gift, Jacie remembered that she hadn't given her gift that she made at school. So she ran in and as we all layed in our bed, Jonny opened his beautiful home made card, and then his amazing little key chain. Jonny, Jack and I were all impressed with her creative caption of her and Daddy. Then we all got up, I cleaned up the kitchen the kids got ready, I got ready, then Jonny. Thats when it was time to hit the road to the Crippens house! We took the puppies and Dolly was very excited to be there, but Katelyn's pug "Lola" was NOT happy she was there. The kids got straight to swimmin' and was in the pool the whole time we were there. Jer, bar b qued some amazing terriaky chicken and yvonne made rice, and macaroni salad. Oh it was soooo, soooo, yummy!!

As we sat and talked Jonny mentioned that he wanted to see the movie "Super 8." We thought that we had a few in on the deal, but no one was really up for it, so we decided we would wait for another day. Well, thats when Mom went and looked the movie up and decided she wanted go! So, it was me, Jonny, and Mom going to the movies! We went to see it, and it was pretty good, the kids were great in it! Because the theater was packed we sat at the very top, and Jonny wanted to sit in the middle of my Mom and I, because he is a giant and wouldn't have room with someone else next to him. The best part was that it was not a scary movie, but it was suspenseful and there were parts that startle you, well my Mom was jumping at every scene. Jonny thought this was hilarious!

It was a great Fathers day weekend!!
