Fourth of July fun, and sicky time..

Funny, when I was a kid I REALLY disliked the 4th of July. Not because we were celebrating the independence of our country, not because we would get together with friends, and family, or the food that we would eat. No, no, its because of those awful, loud, terrible, fireworks that could possibly go completely out of control and go flying up into the crowd finding me hitting me in the FACE!!! Oh sorry, I get a little dramatic when it comes to fireworks. So how in the world did I find a man who absolutely LOVES the 4th of July, and yeah of course he appreciates the whole independence thing, but for him its all about the FIREWORKS!! He loves em! All of them! I am pretty sure that if we lived in a state that welcomed any kind of fireworks, we would spend A LOT of money on A LOT of fireworks. Christmas would be very small, because we would have to save up for the 4th of July. Unfortunatly for my handsom, fire loving husband, we live in Menifee California where they frown upon any kind of fireworks. Due to the many, many dry farm fields around our area. I don't know, something about wild fires or something silly like that. Anyway, this means if Jonny wants to do firework play we have to get them in the OC (Orange County). Yep, back to our hometown. Luckily, Jonny's best friend (his brotha, from another motha) Mr. Jeremy lives in Costa Mesa, which is in the OC. Yep, we headed to there shin dig, where Jer was cookin' some burgers, and hot dogs, and the full side spread. Then we went out and had some firework fun!! Well, as we started with smoke bombs (when I say "we" I mean them!) and sparklers, they started to move on to the big stuff. This is when my fun loving, handsome, son comes and sits on my lap. This I thought strange because he inherited his Dad's love of danger in fireworks. Then he leans over and says "Mommy, I don't feel good. I feel like I can throw up." Uh,oh he says that he feels so sick, he wants to go home. Jonny and I are in agreement that we will go home, with our poor boy. After packing up, I go in the house where he is laying on the couch and he says with tearful eyes "Mommy I feel bad I don't want to ruin the day for Daddy." Ugh, it was heart breaking! Of course Jonny reassured that precious child, that everything is fine, and he just wants his boy to feel better. So we headed home and we were glad to get him home in bed, and once home he felt a bit better, and slept well through the night. He woke feeling much, much better. Today he and Jonny have the day together and going to lunch, then to see the Green Lantern. Other than Jack not feelin' well, we got great visits in and some fireworks, and yummy food, it was a great day!!

Of course Jonny brought his blow torch, because its much better than just a lame, boring ol' lighter that normal people use..

How great is this little face!! Precious huh!! This is Izzy and his precious Aubrey. She had no fear!
