Registering

Ok, so I haven't been in the mood to blog in awhile, and to be honest I don't really feel in the mood
right now.

I will though because every once in awhile I feel guilty that I started a blog and I neglect it, as though its a plant in my living room, and I am too involved with other things to water it.

Sooo, I thought I would get on and write about my crazy morning.

So some of you may or may not know Jonny and I recently purchased a car last Thursday. I LOVE it! Its a 2006 Honda Civic hybrid. She is SO fun to drive, and I LOVE saving gas. I mean I can't tell you all the difference in driving an Avalanche and driving a little Civic! Its funny, when we go out in the mornings to go to school, Jacie says "Mommy, I think the truck is sad that we aren't driving it, maybe we should take that." In turn Mommy replies "Oh, no honey I think the truck wants to rest its gas mileage awhile."

Anyway, this morning I had to go register the car. I decided that though I thoroughly enjoy the lovely folks at the DMV, and the nasty attitude that is usually given, and the looooong lines I would have to stand in. I thought maybe I would just run down to the AAA instead.

Well, our closest AAA is in a town called Hemet. Now I have written short snippits about Hemet before, because this is where my favorite Walmart is. However, Walmart is on the very edge of Hemet. Let me explain this little town of Hemet. You see, Hemet is not what you would call an "uptown" sorta town. I'm not saying its a bad town, I'm just sayin' that if by chance you are lookin' to join a gang.... or rob a bank... or ... any sorta high crime incident is in your future plans, you can head on down to Hemet and check it out!

Ok, now just like most towns there are "nice" parts of Hemet as well, though there aren't a whole lotta of em.. if ya catch my drift. Now, don't get me wrong I am not against Hemet, there are many reason I head that way for different reasons, but I don't like to really cruise the streets and get outta my car to hang out at the local liquor store, or spray paint my favorite wall with my signiture tag sign.

Ok, so now that you have a little back ground of where I had to go to to get to AAA you will understand my morning a little better. So.. I thought that I knew exactly where the office was so I headed out that way, and confidently took my sweet little car on the adventure. Turns out I was wrong about the street it was on and I was traveling deeper and deeper into the realms of Hemet. Though I was a little nervous, I wanted to make things easier for when I happen to find the AAA office. So,  I decided that I would get money out at the first Wells Fargo bank I saw so that I didn't have to write a check and have to wait for it to go through... smart right? Yeah, I thought so. So luckily they had a drive thru ATM and because the line had 4 cars in it, and not ONE person was using the walk up ATM, this gave me a good enough clue to tell me that not even the local residence feel safe getting money out and not have a quick enough get away.

So, I pulled up and got in line. After gettin' the loot and pulling out of the drive way, I saw a Jack in the box, and decided to get something to drink because I wasn't sure how long I would be on the road lookin' for this crazy place, in this crazy town. After I order I pull up to the window hand the twenty something year old man my money and ask him where Stetson street was. "Oh," he said, "I don't know I don't drive, so I don't know." "Thats o.k." I said and waited for him to ask one of his buddies in the back "Well, I can't drive (he informed me again) so I don't know, but they said you just take that street down till you hit it." I tell him "thank you so much." Which I completely ment, for not only telling me how to get to the street, but also for NOT telling me why he can't (or maybe is prohibited to) drive.

FINALLY after about 20 minutes of looking, I find the place and head in to register my new little car, so she can be official!! As I am sitting there in the air conditioned building in the plush cushion chairs, playing my angry birds, I am happy that I chose AAA instead of the DMV.. even though I was risking my life looking for the place. In the middle of this thought I get called up and the friendly woman (this is not sarcasm she really was pleasant) starts out with the paper work and tells me the total. Whoa.. this was more than I thought.. hadn't thought about the sales tax I guess. So I pull out the ONE check I had in my wallet and write it out to her.. so much for getting out the cash and thinkin' ahead! Thats when she says with a smile "Oh you put the amount wrong." UGH!! I made two mistakes and completely ruined the check! I had no more checks, AND not enough cash!  I told the woman that I would be right back with the money.

So I headed out to try to find another local Wells Fargo, and finally found one..... ok, I HAD to get out and go in the bank. Now I'm not gonna say I was terrified, but I did look over my shoulder 2 maybe 5 times to see if I could possibly see the bank robbers approaching so at least I wouldn't be caught off guard when they stick the gun in my back and yell "THIS IS A STICK UP!!! Do they say that any more?

Anyway..I'm not gonna lie, the only people that didn't look a little scared were the ones workin' behind the bullet proof glass!!

So after I practically whisper the amount i needed withdrawn to the teller, and he SHOUTS it back through the glass and then proceeds to count out the bills so that I will then have to stick in my purse and walk to my car without a police escort! I practically run to the car, slam the door shut and put in gear while trying to dodge the people behind me. I head BACK to the AAA and go inside to give the nice woman the cash and register my little beauty!

After she was official, I had only an hour until it was time to pick up the kids. I decided that I would celebrate by parking in the shade by the school and ......... read! It was wonderful!

Now begins our Spring break. This will be a fantastic week of sleeping in!! Tonight we are celebrating by going to see the Hunger Games, with Aunie, Katelyn, Brian, Jonny, Jack, Allen, and myself of course. I can't wait!! Tomorrow is Jacks game, and then we will be havin' some cake and ice cream to celebrate his birthday, which is actually Monday. Fun, fun! Ok, that is all today, I have past my limit of blogging for now. Happy Spring Ya'll!!!!!!!
