Shhhhhh! Do you hear that? Yep, not a sound, not a peep, its very, very quiet at the Soseman house right now. Jack and Jace went to Aunie and Uncle Jers for the night, and are going to the beach tomorrow. This is wonderful that they go to the beach with Aunie, because unlike their mother, their Aunie will go in the water. I don't mean just put her feet in, she goes out and rides the waves in!! This is right up Jacksons alley! He loves the waves. When I was young Yvonne would take me to the beach and we would go way, way out in the crashing waves, and ride the waves back to shore. Yep, I grew outta that! For some strange reason it occurred to me that there are slimy, fish, and icky seaweed out there waiting to wrap there grossness around my leg!!! I don't know I turned weird and it grosses me out. Oh yeah, I prefer to lay on the sand and enjoy the view and the amazing sound of the crashing waves, which I think are trying to get away from the slimy fish, and disgusting seaweed, but unfortunately the earth and the moon shall keep them together!

Anywayyyy, here I sit while the kids are at the fun house, and Jonny is with his buds, playin' poker. Just me and the dogs, and Mom and Dad's dogs (while they are on vacation) are layin' around waiting for cops to come on. Yep, nice quiet and serene... until one of the dogs hears a phantom sound and they all start BARKING, and scare the %&$* outta me!!! Thats when I scolded them, and as I go on and on at them, I realize all they are hearing is "wah wah wah wah wah."

So this morning we woke up with Jackson, Jacie, Breanna and Jacks friend Kendall and a house of craziness. (Seriously my kids have more on their calender than I have ever had! They are either gone, or a friend is here, ridiculous I tell ya!) Kendall's Dad came to get her, then we herded the last three, and took them to meet Aunie at a Walgreens half way between our house and hers, where she whisked them away. Near Walgreens was a Sam's club so Jonny and I went and strolled around there. We don't have a Sam's club card, we are Costco members, but Jonny just happened to establish a Sams card for work. Unfortunately we have to use his work credit card if we want to buy anything, and as tempting as that was... we decided against it. Though I am convinced that because we didn't have a Sam's club card, I found a BUNCH of stuff that I really, really wanted!!! Maybe its a good thing that we didn't have a membership card or we would be broke! So, after that we headed to Target and bought a wedding gift for the wedding we are going to Thursday.

Yes, we are going to a wedding but we are traveling to Utah for it. We are looking forward to this, because we get to see Jonny's step Dad, Harlow, his stepsis's and step bro. Also we are very close to all of Harlow's family (Aunts, cousins, grandmother). They pretty much all rock! So we are leaving Wednesday which leaves plenty of time to get things in order before we leave, but I'm pretty positive I won't be ready by the time we leave, and I'm sure I will forget something!

But for now, I am enjoying some quiet time, knowing that my kids are having fun at the Crippens (cause they always do) and hoping that Jonny comes back with some winning$!! I am also waiting for Cops to finish recording on the DVR and somehow found a show that I am presently watching about Cops and police dogs. Two things I LOVE about the show Cops, tazors and the K9 unit!! I find myself yelling at the t.v. "Taze him!!!! Taze him!!!" or "Get the DOGS!!!" and when they do I usually reply "Well, thats what ya get!!!." It's very intense to watch Cops with me, so its probably a good thing I am alone. Anyway this K9 show I just stumbled on is on the Korean channel. Its funny cause the show is in English, but the Korean translation is at the bottom of the screen, and all the commercials are in Korean.... hmm, maybe I will learn some Korean tonight! .... Yeah, probably not. Anyway, I'm gonna go watch some Police/Dog work and relax. Sorry about all the babble, but if my Dogs have to listen to me, why shouldn't you?

Fun with the Jensen's!!

This last Friday Brady, and Emilie stopped at our house to stay the night while on their way to Oceanside where they will stay a week and enjoy the sights of Cali. Friday night the four of us went out to dinner, and hung out and visited for awhile. The next day they went to pick up Brady's parents (Doug, and Carla), and their son Finn from the airport and we met them in Oceanside. They rented a condo for the week and invited us to spend the night with them, and hang out at the beach with the kids. We had a blast! Luckily I had my phone with me and I took some pictures..

Saturday night we all took a walk and found a Mexican restaurant called Anita's. It was really really good, so it was a good thing we walked cause I had to walk some of it off! While walking I stopped and took a picture of the sunset. So pretty!

Then I stopped and took a picture of my handsome son. I didn't get Jacie cause she was pushing Finn in the stroller and they were way ahead of us. She was her usual self with Finn, I call her "Mama Jacie" when babies are around her.

That night after the kids went to bed, Jonny and I walked down to the beach and I took a picture of the pier. We were also trying to pretend we didn't see the couple on the beach making out, pretty gross.. and no I didn't take a picture of the couple ewww

The next day we all walked to Ruby's at the end of the pier for some breakfast, then went back to the condo to get dressed to head to the beach. This top picture is Doug who is the closest, then Em, and Brady gettin' ready to catch some waves, with Jack on their boogie boards.

Finn, wanted to come out with Jonny and watch the boogie boardin' action!

Jacie is teaching Finn how to make a sand castle. He was an excellent student!

Finn wasnt afraid to get some sand between his toes.

This is as far as Jacie went in the water. Thats just fine with me!

Unfortunately for this Mama, Jack isnt as scared. He headed out with Brady, and they were lookin' for bigger waves ((sigh))

Maybe I wouldn't get so scared if I didn't encounter those big nasty waves when I was young, and remember that feeling of being upside down under water... yeah thats why I stay on the shore now.. and the fact that as an adult fish, seaweed, and other ocean creatures in the water gross me out!!

Yup, he found one and rode it in to shore..

then he went out to find another one soon after that.

Anyway, after the beach we headed home, and the next day they took Mr. Finnley to Disneyland. We had a great time and were so grateful they included us in their vacation! Luckily in about a week we are headed out to Utah and we will see them in their neck of the woods! Can't wait to see em again, they always keep us laughing!

my celebraty friends..

Ok, So I have been thinking about celebrities, and how sometimes I watch them on Conan, or the Tonight Show or something. As I'm watching them, I think I bet that person is so much fun to be friends with. I bet they are hilarious and would just be sooo much fun! Now I'm not talkin' about perks, like oh they're rich I could get some really great gifts from them, or hey I bet they can get into some really great places. No, no, (although that WOULD be a great perk) I'm just talkin' about personality. People that seem really nice, or funny. So I have come up with a list of celebs I think would be fun to be friends with...

1. Jeff Lewis (from Flipping Out)

2. Dolly Parton (you knew that was coming)

3. Tom Hanks (his tweets are so fun, light, and funny, and he seems fun on shows)

4. Jay Mohr (I would ask him to do impressions)

5. Seth Green

6. Gwyneth Paltrow

7. Paul Rudd

8. Steve Carrel

9. Jane Lynch

10. Jason Bateman

12. Vince Vaughn

13. Ellen DeGeneres
Yep, I have a feelin' I will think of more and have to add to my list. I mean not that you really care what celeb I would want to be friends with, but this is something I think about. I know, I know just another weird quirk. Don't pretend you don't have weird quirks! Ok, thats just my thought today. I didn't do much, except sew and paint all day cause the kids weren't here and I bummed around all day, so I had a lot of thinking time... this is one of the things I thought about.

Tonight was nice, my parents, sisters, Katelyn and Breanna came over for spaghetti and we visited with Mom and Dad before they leave for Kansas tomorrow. Actually they will be gone for 3 weeks, going to Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Utah, to visit family and some friends. Fun times for Mom and Dad, glad we got to visit before they went on the trip.

Oh, Last night I did go to Bobbi and Allens for dinner. That was fun! We had her awesome enchiladas, hung out and visited, watched Brian and Jack throw the football around (Jack is trying to convince me to sign him up for football). Then Yvonne, Jacie and I played Breanna, Jack and Breannas friend in volleyball. Yep, we should really stick to softball, thats all I'm gonna say about that lol. Anyway it was a pretty great day. Right now, I am gettin' pretty sleepy so I'd better close the computer down, and close the peepers. Good night!

bringin' comfy back..

Yup, remember I said that Mom and Dad's bed is the best bed in the house? Well this is what Jonny and I woke up to this mornin'..

It was a nice wake up call. Except for Pearl, we had the whole family in one big comfy bed!
P.S. This is exactly how Jacie sleeps, if the blankets aren't over her head, a pillow is. She learned that from Mommy. :)

Comfort Zone..

So this morning, I was sitting on my bed, watching some t.v., playing on the computer. Jack came in to see what I was up to. He climbs up on the bed next to me, and we start chatting away. Pretty soon the conversation dies down, and I look over and he is asleep, completely out!! He just woke up 2 hours ago, and he is in my bed now faast asleep.

Funny thing about Mom and Dad's bed..so comfy, so completely secure in that "giant" bed, you can let down your guard, and just let go. Complete relaxation. I remember thinking that Mom and Dad's room was the best, most comfortable, relaxing room in the house. Well, whenever there is a nightmare, or a noise, or you just wake up and can't fall asleep, you creep in and ask "can I sleep with you?" Thats when you are in total slumber the second your head hits the pillow. Doesn't matter that as a kid your hand was in Mom's face, and your butt was pushing Dad off the side, YOU are in complete comfort, and thats all that matters! Ahhh, it makes me feel relaxed now.. maybe because I am laying in bed now, perhaps I should use my bootahh to push Jonny outta bed, and take over the comfort zone? Nah, I'll let him enjoy his side of the best bed in the house!
