Boys and Girls XoXoXoX

So no matter what any one says, there is such a huge difference between raising a boy and girl. There is nothing wrong with either, but they are definatly different!

My Boy

Me: "How was your day?"

Boy: "Good"

Me: "What did you do today?"

Boy: "I don't know, learned stuff"

Me: "Good. What did you learn"

Boy: "I don't know, I don't remember"

Me: "Ugh... Ok, what did you do in P.E.?"

Boy: "OH! We played football!!! Jake passed me the ball, and I got around TJ, then some other kid tried to take my flag, I turned around him, ran as fast as I could and made a touchdown!! It was AWESOME!!"

Me: "That's great! Are there any girls that play?"

Boy: "Ugh, yes but they just stand there."

Me: "Well, do you throw it to them"

Boy: "Yes, but they step out of the way!"

Me: LOL!!!

My Girl

Me: "How was your day?"

Girl: "Great! We are learning about different shapes, and diameters, in math. In science we are learing about the atmosphere, and tornadoes!! Mrs. B. read us a book today but it was boring, because she reads in her regular voice, and doesn't make sounds, and voices like you do! Then there was DRRRRAAAMMMA at lunch today!! Sara, told Lisa she talks funny, and Lisa said NO I DON'T! Sara said YES YOU DO! Then the lunch lady came over and told them to knock it off or they will get a write up to go to the office! Then Sara stormed off and threw a ball at Lisa when the lunch lady wasn't looking, but it missed and hit Richard, and Richard threw it back at her. Then they started fighting. It was crazy!!

Can we stop and get something to eat I AM STARVING!

Me: "Didn't you eat lunch at school?

Girl: "Not everything, I didn't have time."

Me: "Maybe you and your friends were talking to much."

Girl: "Nahhhh"

Yep, there is a lot of differences between the boy, and the girl.

Two totally different species. My girl is sensitive, caring, and observant.

My boy is, sarcastic, tough, and oblivious to his surroundings... secretly sensitive.

My boy will trip, do a little shuffle and regain his balance. My girl will trip over her own feet, slid across the cement and I have to clean up all of the blood to make sure she doesn't need stitches, while trying to calm her screams, because she see's blood. They are both hilarious in different ways, and crack me up everyday!

Jacie is always worried about people and animals around her. Jack is trying to figure out a way to play a prank on the people around him. I learned the hard way, that Jack is fun to scare and Jacie is NOT! Jack will roam down an isle at the store, and I have to remind him to keep up. Jacie is glued to my side because she is paranoid that we will be separated, and she will have to go live with another family at the grocery store.. or worse she will have to live AT the grocery store.

At a young age if I told Jack there are no such things as monsters under your bed, that's all he had to hear and he was convinced. I tell Jacie there are no monster's under her bed, I was in for a debate for the next hour because there is NO convincing her that there isn't!

They are both amazing, and very smart, and quick witted. They are hilarious, fun, and great people. I love them so much!!

Happy Monday everyone!!

Crazy husband, presidents week, and homeschooling

Well, yesterday I checked the mail..

Normally going to get the mail is not a big deal, except when going through it, you find a notice for

Ugh, it's such a pain. I mean not only does it take up a whole day, but when you have a bad back its just miserable! You sit up right in uncomfortable chairs fitted way too close to the person next to you,

so they don't appreciate you fidgeting, or maybe just leaning against them for a few minutes.

Apparently that is bad etiquette.

My husband LOVES jury duty.. no really, he LOVES it! I act like I'm the one going to trial when I get jury duty,

he acts like he got a free pass to Disneyland.

It's just not normal. I think jury duty should be like the Hunger Games!! If I get called to serve, he can jump out in front of me and yell, "I VOLUNTEER!!!"

That's when I will happily step aside, and lovingly say " I shall wait for your return, my love"

... or something to that effect. I'm pretty sure if there was a jury occupation, my husband would be an expert at it.
He would put everything into it.

Anyway, that's my dilemma today, "jury duty," ugh. My back just spasmed thinking about it.

Well, its Monday. My kids are excited to get through this week and get next week off for presidents birthday week.

Can you believe they get a whole week off for that?! I mean we got a four day weekend, now a days they are handing out free weeks like there candy!!... Not really sure that makes sense, but you get my point.

However, I will say it sucks for them now, because we didn't start until the second week of September and they are starting in August. So, I guess it may be a little even. Not to mention the fact that they are teaching algebra to 1st graders.

I wouldn't be surprised if I got a call from the nurses office telling me that I have to pick up my kid, because they short circuited.

Poor little brains. Not to mention my poor old brain!! I mean half the time they come home with homework, and I have to google it!! Homeschooling is a really big thing right now. I could probably home school my kids, but only if I wasn't concerned about them getting any kind of real education. I would be like, "Ok, here is what you are suppose to do today, read it and tell me how your suppose to do it." I guarantee they would be teaching me!

Ok, that's all the brain power I have for the ol' blog today. Stay warm and...

Have a

Jockeying around, 16th bday, old ladies and LARRY!!

Ok here is today's dilemma. While waiting for the school gates to open to kick Jacie out...

I mean to let Jacie out of the car, I look over and see a man get out of his car with what looked to be his lunch bag slung over his shoulder. My first thought was, "Oh, he must be a substitute teacher if he is packin' a lunch."

My second thought was "gosh looking at that man's stature, I bet he would make a darn good horse jockey!!"

Now after thinking that I immediately felt guilty for, staring, and worse for judging the way he looked.

Then after he immersed from my rude staring, I looked back at his car and saw that he had a sticker on his window indicating he was in fact an actual horse jockey!!!

Now, I was at odds with myself, should I still feel bad for assuming he would make a good jockey because of his stature, OR should I become a talent agent for Santa Anita??

I don't know the jury is still out.

So since I tend to neglect my blog, here are a few things that you've missed..

We celebrated Brians (my amazing nephew) 16th birthday! We asked him what he wanted to do, and he said he just wanted to go to dinner at the Claimjumper with the family. So, that's exactly what we did!

After dinner we went to his house, and partied, with their dogs, Chance, and Chloe...

and we saaaang, and ate ice cream cake! yum!

Jacie's school celebrated their 100th day, so everyone was to dress as if they were 100 years old. This is Jacie's interpretation. I'm not really sure how I should take the fact that she wore one of my dresses to look like an old lady..

Ok, on to my final picture..

My totally awesome cousin Karen purchased 2 amazingly sweet little puppies. My sister Yvonne fell in love with one of them. So, Wednesday we all surprised her by shipping this sweet, adorable, little bundle of happiness from Kansas, to California. As an early birthday gift she got a BIG surprise! She was so surprised she was brought to tears, and we were all so happy to make her happy!! So meet the
new addition to the family.. this is...

LARRY!

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!!!
