Our weekend.. short and sweet!
Friday night Jack had basketball practice. He scrimmaged with some other kids, and the kids from the other team had two dad's who joined in.
I am all for dad's getting involved and helping out, showing the kids a few things. Uh, however when dad's get a liiiiittle toooo competitive with kids, its a little to much.
Now don't get me wrong if Jack was younger I would be mad, but because Jack is almost 13 I find dad's that get that serious about a pick up game with 12 and 13 year olds pretty funny.
I mean a couple of times there were fouls, and cheating... CHEATING!
A kid would call a dad out and say "you hit that out!" The dad would say "nah, I didn't lets keep going."
Anyway it was crazy, and great way to teach kids how to be a cheater.
yup, seems good.
Saturday, Jonny my husband/contractor decided to start construction on our kitchen. Where we once had a small bar...
it is now gone.
We are doing a bit of some changes to the kitchen. I am very excited about it, although at the moment things are a little messy, not done, and unorganized. This makes me a little bit crazy. But lets face it, it doesn't take much to make me crazy..
That's ok, I just keep moving things around, sweeping up, and gettin' excited about when it'll all come together!
Sunday we decided that we would head out to Temecula with the kids and have lunch with Mom, Dad, Breanna, Yvonne, Jer, Alex, and my kindred spirit/neice Katelyn. Allen took Brian out to L.A. for a football camp, so we missed them..
As always we had a great time with everyone, talk, and laugh, talk, and laugh.
Good weekend!

Our lost boy.. Metal mouth soon.. and B12
Ok, here we go!
Here's the latest:
My niece Breanna is in middle school and she joined her drama club.
Her first play of middle school? PETER PAN!!!
Breanna's role is one of the lost boys. Hop!
She has had a wonderful time preparing, and learning her lines. She really loves the whole process! She has had a lot of fun, but Thursday night was opening night, for the big production! She was VERY nervous, but happy. We bought tickets for Friday, so that Mom, Brian, Jacie, and I could volunteered to help with set up on Thursday. Mom and Brian helped out with the ticket booth, and Jacie and I headed to the "green room" to help with make up.
Oh my goodness!!
I can not tell you how crazy this was!!! Kids were running around with excitment, there was a teacher yelling at them to be quiet and sit down!! They were singing, and laughing and rehersing lines, throwing on costumes, and just being crazy.
The drama teacher in charge of the whole thing was 15 minutes late, and kept yelling at the kids to get it together, because they were 15 minutes behind!
When I was FINALLY told what my job was, it was by one of the drama teachers daughters, who was about 19 or so. She was there to help with the backstage make up. I was told how to apply the make up and when I was done with the first "fairy" I turn to her and say "like this?" and she said "um, thats fine, just send them to me when your done, and I will fix it.
Anyway, the teacher was very stressed and was exuding A LOT of energy, which I feel the kids were picking up on, because I myself was about to bust with craziness!!
The way the drama teacher was acting you would have thought that this was Broadway and their careers where counting on this performance!
Part of me wishes I would have given Breanna some crazy instructions on how to prepare and relax her "vocals." I should've had her walk around in circles chanting.. "loose lips sink ships"... or maybe made one up for her like "Lincolns, lions, love, lard!"
Her drama teacher would have been very impressed by her dedication OR she would have thought that she was crazy, and booted her from the production... maybe it was a good thing I didn't have her do that.
When we were done, Jacie and I stepped out of the green room, took a deep breath of relaxation, and I heard Jacie say, "I want to be in a play when I get to middle school!"
and I was like:
Thursday night was a bit crazy, but I am just so glad I was able to be a part of the whole thing with Breanna! She looked so cute, and when we saw her performance last night, she did every line perfectly and sang beautifully!!!
In other news Jacks teeth are doin' what they are suppose to be doing and all of that nasty work that we had to do is working!! He sorta looks like this now..
Thankfully we don't have to do the mouth key anymore because the ol' dentist said all looks well, and Jackson should be gettin' his iron mouth soon!
Ok, moving on..
So, I hadn't been feelin' that great and things seem to be gettin' worse, so with Jonny's encouragment I went to the doctor to see what was up..
After two appointments and a blood test it was determined that I was B12 deficent! He said normal is 800-900 and I was at 190. He was shocked and said I had to have B12 shots.
I guess B12 is pretty important and if you are lacking it, it can mess up your whole system... and let me tell ya, it has!
I couldn't figure out why I was SO extremely tired all of the time. I mean I coulda fell asleep at a red light, if I wasn't carefull!
I have terrible sore joints, my hair falls out, my feet, and legs cramp, and fall asleep, I forget EVERYTHING, some days it feels like I'm getting the flu, and I have to lay around, and the next day I'm fine. Headaches that make me sick to my stomach. Some days I walk to the kitchen and back and it feels like I ran a marathon my heart is racing and I have to catch my breath. The list goes on and on, and on!
Apparently its caused because my body doesn't absorb B12 even if its the things I eat. Usually vegetarians have the problem and I am definately NOT a vegetarian.
When I looked it up, I found out that its pretty serious if untreated and it cause all kinds of things, like dementia, damage to the neverous system, nerve damage, and hallucinations.. if I start talking to Brad Pitt, and starting fights with people, then that may be a problem.
Anyway I had one shot, then yesterday I had another shot. When I asked the nurse about how long before I start feeling better, she said about two months. UGH!
I am not very patient, and thats not what I was expecting. However, I am glad that we figured out my issue, and I am on my way to healthier me!
So if your having any issues like that, make sure you check your B12 level.. its pretty important!
Ok, so that's about it for now, I will leave you with a joke I heard one of Breanna's friends say before the play last night...
Why did Cap't Hook cross the road??
To get to the second hand store!!
Happy Saturday everyone!!
