Braces, The Best Red Head, Projects, and Spelling Bees..

Things have been busy here, just runnin' here and there.

Jack has started his braces process.

Boy oh boy is that a process, take him to another place to have a complete xray of his entire skull. Go back into the dentist to get spacers put it.. which apparently are NOT comfortable at all! Then back to the dentist a week later, to get some midevil lookin' metal device in the back of his mouth that apparently widens.. or spaces.. or something or rather. Oh yeah and they hand me a long plastic thing with a wire sticking out of the end of it, and say "Ok, Mom this is the key, you have to stick it in the wire thingy and and turn it so it will move everything in its proper place." .... "UH WHAT!?"

Wait just a minute, we are payin' big bucks for YOU to straighten this kids teeth and you want me to do what?!

I thought we had to do it for a week, but when I took him back in, they said "oh its lookin' good, just 2 and 1/2 more weeks, and you'll be done doing that." Ugh!

Lets see, what else.

Brian turned 17 on the 2nd .. Superbowl Sunday!! He wanted to have it at our house so we obliged, and watched the game, had all his favorite foods, and celebrated the best red head ever!!!

Because he picked out one of Lola's puppies, and they were ready to be weaned, Yvonne and Jer brought the puppies, and surprised Brian with his little boy, who he named "Tebow!!"

He was pretty happy!

We also got a delivery with our little baby, "Biggie!!"

Yes, his name is "Biggie." I named Dolly after my very favorite singer Dolly Parton. So Jonny thought with country being my favorite, we should have a little hip hop flair, and named him "Biggie Smalls".. Because this is one of the rappers we can agree on, and because the puppy has eyes that resemble him... I agreed to it.

I don't care what his name is I'm just so happy with him, he is a little cuddle bug, and is so darn cute!!!!!!!!

Ok, then we had TWO kids who had science fairs due on the same day. I tell ya, I understand that it is very educational, but it is a pain in this Mama's rear!!!!

So what is a Mom to do with TWO kids with the same project? They are doing the same experiment and helping each other of course!! So we did and all was well. Of course even though they both had the same project, only Jacie was asked to the school fair. I suspect it was because she beautified it up though. lol

Anyway I am glad that its over with, and I don't have to worry about that... Oh except the day after Jacie turned her project in, she comes home to tell me she has to work on a diarama project! ugh!

Jackson started winter league basketball, and we are happy about that, cause that is a lotta fun to watch. His first game was Saturday, fun, fun!!

Jackson was also in the school spelling be and out of 11 7th graders and 6 of 8th the graders, Jack came in 4th place, and was invited to the district spelling bee!!

Now let me tell ya I felt so bad for each of the kids up on stage! I thought that they were all going to either pass out, wet themselves, or just get up and RUN outta that place! The poor things were all terrified! And each child that was eliminated had such a sad look on their face, I wanted to just cry for them!!!

There were kids from 4th grade to 8th grade, and let me tell ya, some of the words they gave those kids, I am almost postive they were making up!! "Sara your word is uh, losposingthgosngy."

Ok, I exagerate again, but really they were crazy!! I mean, one kid would get a word like hero, and the next kid would get losposingthgosngy! Again my made up word, but honestly I could not even tell you the words they used, cause I'd never ever heard of em!

Jacks first word was "Mosque" and he got it right! He made it to the second round, the next word he got was "belladonna" and he forgot one of the n's and he was eliminated. I think Jack was the only one that didn't tear up. I am pretty sure he was a little relieved he didn't have to stand up there with everyone staring at him! lol... Anyway we were proud he made it that far, and it was a lot of fun to see. If they judged on biggest fans, he woulda won, cause the whole gang was there!!

Aunt Louise was there as well. She was down for 2 and 1/2 weeks visiting from Alaska, and as always when staying with Mom and Dad she had plenty to do, cause those two are always on the run! She and I also took a morning to go yard selling, and we both really enjoy that! Let me tell ya, I found some pretty good deals!!

So thats pretty much whats been goin' on here, alls well with this house hold!

Happy Monday!!... or at least try any way.
