Friday's craziness..

This morning I took a trip to our local Ross store. Fortunatly I didn't run into any yelling women, as I have wrote about in a past post. I did however have an interesting thought about myself..

I have mild obsessions with a few things ... just a few.

I find that if I go to any store that happens to have containers, or baskets of any kind, I must check them out! Anything to do with organization. I also have a obsession with mason jars, pitchers, cookie jars, sugar jars, flour jars. Not to say that I will buy these things because, one: I'm not a horder, and two: I am VERY picky about what I want... very.

I think I have mentioned it before that I also have an obsession with scentcy's (and off brands). Again, I don't buy a lot, I just bee line it for that isle and pick em up and look at them, and put them back down. I only have two and one of them was a gift... thank you again Emilie and Brady!!

I also love chopping blocks, tongs, whisks, wooden spoons and mixing bowls!! You should see me in a kitchen store, I can spend hours in one!!! Ok, maybe not hours, but I could easily burn a good 45 minutes.. poor Jonny.

Anyway, that is my observation and confession about myself. How I obsess about inanimate objects... another sickness really.

Ok, enough about my object obessions, I will tell ya about why I had to start my conversation on the phone with Jonny with this doozy.. "Don't freak out when you get home tonight..

So, about two nights ago Jonny and I get in the spa, and agree that we need to add some water. I say "I'll just do it tomorrow".. it was agreed.

Jonny comes home and says "did ya put water in the spa?".. I respond with "ugh, no, but I will"

The next afternoon I tell Breanna and Jacie to go put the hose in the spa, and DONT let me forget it!!

Well, then Mom and Dad come over and we visited for quite awhile, and when they go to leave, our dog Dolly gets out. The kids go chasing after her and I'm laughing cause she is jukin' and jiven' them all over the neighborhood and then I look over and see that there is water GUSHING from our side yard. First I am confused.. what the... THEN IT HITS ME! The dang spa is over flowing!! Oh my goodness it was everywhere!

Ugh, I coulda put suits on the kids and let them wade in it!! Ok, that is a bit of an exaggeration, but it was muddy and water..rry.

I blame Breanna and Jacie for not reminding me, my parents for being good conversationalists, Jack for making me laugh at Dolly (who he caught by the way). Its everyone's fault but mine, I am just an inoccent house wife.

Luckily, Jonny still loves me, the water is off, and all is well... wet..but well!!

So, thats how my Fridays gone, hope alls well with you, and have a fantastic weekend!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas and New Years fun...

Ok, I'm catchin' up.

So we had a fantastic Christmas! Mom decided to host it this year. She made a delicious ham, and Yvonne and I brought the sides.. and everyone was content.

Jer/Yvonne/Alex/Katelyn, brought the puppies, and of course we played with those furry bundles of sweetness!! They are like little magnets, and its just impossible not to pick one or four of them up, and kiss there fuzzy little faces!!

Unfortunatly Jack wasn't feeling good, so we had to leave and get him home to bed. A terrible cold was goin' around and Jack gave it Breanna, who gave it to my Mom, who gave it to my Dad, who gave it to Allen. Lucky for us when we got Jack home, we corintein him to his room and threw food at him, every once and awhile... ok, ok, not quite that bad, but we did make him stay in bed. However, this wasn't a big bummer for him, because he had plenty of Christmas loot to keep him busy!

Anyway, besides Jacks sickness we had a great Christmas and all were happy!

Jonnys vacation week flew by, and he had to go back to work. We missed him for two whole days, until he got New Years day off.

For New Years Eve, the kids went to Nana and Papa's and hung out with Brian and Breanna. Jonny and I headed down the street to our amazing friends, Eric and Val's house. They had a fun get together and like always we had a great time with them, because lets face it, they are some pretty great people!!

Valerie and Linda, two of my favorite people!! They are such wonderful friends!!

New Years day rolled around, and I had thd fam over, and I made enchiladas and we hung out, and enjoyed the day together. Considering its been in the mid to high 70's it was nice!

Luckily we had Jonny for all of Thursday too, so we headed down.. or up to Orange County and had dinner with some more favorite people of ours. Jonny's awesome cousin, (technically step cousin) Emilie came down from Utah with her equally awesome husband Brady and brought their amazing kiddos and Brady's sweet mom with them! We were so happy to see them, and visit for awhile and kiss and hug on the kids. They are so dang adorable!!!

So things are stayin' busy and fun, and we are truely enjoying the vacation. Hope everyone had a happy, safe New Year, we sure did, and are lookin' forward to some more fun times all year long!

Okay I wrote this a week ago, and forgot to post it... better late than never... right?

Well, its that time of year where things get busy.

It starts with the last week, before school lets out for Christmas break... thats right I said it, CHRISTMAS break, not "winter" break. I know I'm a Christian rebel!!

Anyway, I made some rice bags for Jacie's teacher and some other peeps.

These are really easy to make... as long as your sewing machine isn't giving you grief... sore subject.

They are so great, when you have sore muscles, aches, pains, headaches. You just pop in the microwave for a few minutes, and thats it.. put it where ya need it!!

After those were completed, I had to get candy canes for Jacie, because she enjoys the happy faces of her friends and classmates when she passes out the candy delights. However, the question is do you buy the original peppermint, or do you get strawberry, or blueberry, or rasberry, or just assorted flavors? So many, many, choices. I went with the assorted, because I was sure they would have many other candy canes in the mix of all of the other class mates bringing happiness goodness with them.

Then there was Christmas shopping, and you know how I feel about shopping. Although it wasn't too hard this year. Today though, Jonny went out there, and it was CRAZY.

.. ok, maybe not this bad.

We've also been busy around the house. Doin, and replacing some things. Now that school is out that makes things a little interesting, when the kiddos are hanging around. Twelve million questions, what are you doing? Why? When? They aren't really happy with any changes, when it comes to the house. They constantly tell us, they like the house just the way it is... I just reply with, "you'll love it trust me!"

Luckily, my neice and nephew are out for Christmas break as well, and they seem to keep them busy. Mind you its only been a few days, and we have three weeks to go! Which means no six o'clock mornings!!!

Jonny took Friday off, and he also took the this next week off to spend some time with his awesome family!

Last night we went over to my sister Yvonnes, for a birthday dinner in honor of Mom! We had a great dinner, played with the puppies (the whole time we were there!), did our annual Christmas light cruzing with the whole fam, then went back to the house, to play with the puppies some more!!! Seriously those little buggers are too cute for words!

Tonight, Breanna (my youngest neice) is over for the night, and every once and awhile we will hear them squeel, laugh, giggle, or dance to their just dance game. They are so funny.

Last night we had Brian (my youngest nephew.. who is 16 and not so young anymore) stayed the night, and hung out with Jonny and Jack, and those three are also peas in a pod! Crazy, goofy, and ... well... crazy. Yes, Jonny fits right in!

So, our Christmas break is starting out pretty well, and I am lookin' forward to the next three weeks!!
