Going batty over Homecoming!

Howdy Yall!!!! ... I don't know what that greeting was about, I think I was channelling Annie Oakley for a second there.

Annnyyyway, I just thought I would check in on the ol' blog and share whats been goin' on round here. So lets see Jack's been shootin' hoops on the "Suns" this season in basketball. He has one more game and that concludes the season. I think he is wantin' to get back in flag football. Yep, his ol' lady of a Mama isn't ready for full contact. Poor kid!

Brian's still kickin' butt on his High School team, though he had to take some time off  because he and Breanna had strep throat.. not so fun. They are gettin' better though.

I of course have been on Pinterest getting ready for fall. Sure the house needs cleaning, the laundry needs done, the dishes need washin,(or warshin if your my Mom hee, hee), and my family needs to be taken care of,

but come on there is just so many things to be sewn, glued, tied, and painted!!! I am buzzin' around here like a crazy witch..
a good witch!!

I have been sewing pumpkins, and when I run out of material and can't get to Joannes which is in Temecula, (because those pesky kids have to be picked up from school) I just start tearin' up old shirts.

We may start running out of clothes to wear before Christmas rolls around! Its all too much fun!
Jacie decided to join in the fun, and make a fun little ghost using a sock!

boo!!
I get such great ideas. Even if I don't follow their direction completely, I get idea's from their idea's. Last year they gave an idea to make snowmen outta socks, so I took that idea and made pumpkins!!

They have a million ideas involving folders for household organization. Now though its a great idea, just not practical for me, however I need organization in my PURSE! SO.. I purchased a small version for my mess of a purse, and guess what!? It is workin', and I LOVE it!!

Its keepin' me in tact, and life is grand, all because of my "polder" (purse folder).. o.k. its not makin life perfect, but its a huge help! Anyway, Pinterest is a lot of fun, and sorry but you'll probably hear a lot more about Pinterest on here, because though some of you don't really care about that stuff, but some of you may like to try some stuff that I have done, and enjoy it as much as I do! For instance, I made some delicious cookie bars, that I got off of Pinterest, and Jackson came home and said "My friends want some of those cookie bars you put in my lunch"... "um, ok" was my response.

The next day I put five cookie bars in his lunch, that day after school he said "my friends asked for the recipe"..."uh they can go on Pinterest and "pin" it like I did!!"

After Jack rolled his eyes, and looked at me like "really?" I said "fine, I'll write it down."

Ok, moving on. Jonny has had some changes at work, and is going to have Sunday, Monday's off for a little while. Last weekend was his first non weekend.. weekend. Havin' Monday's off with him is good, because thats when we can go get stuff done, with less traffic, and crowds.  He can also sit and enjoy my company while waitin' for the kids to be release from jail.. I mean school.

Oh!! Last night we went over to the Crippens to see my GORGEOUS neice before she went to the Homecoming dance with her friends. I mean really people she is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!

Inside and out, she is just amazing! She also got my humor and she is HILARIOUS! Anyway, before she went off with her friends and partied the night away, we went to one of the beautiful wineries to take some photos, and it was so pretty.

Not as pretty as Katelyn Rose, but it was prettty.

After that Jer, took Yvonne, Breanna, Jacie, and I around some wineries and to a pumpkin patch, where the girls had a photo shoot.

After that we met up with Jonny to take a night stroll around a duck pond in Temecula. Well, in the day its a "duck" pond, and at night its a "bat" pond. Because, "the bats come out at night, the bats come out at niiiiiiight."

Now, Yvonne didn't know this until her and Jer were relaxing and enjoying the ducks until the bats start flying inches from her face!!!!

Lets just say my sister did NOT like this!

However her husband did, and thought it would be fun to take us for a looky loo, Yvonne still did not find it fun! Ok, so after that we left the kids with them to stay the night, and wished them well. Today we will find out if we will find them tied up or not!

Ms. Breanna is 11 and makin' some curtains

Ok, here we go! So, The day before yesterday I set out to finish the curtains for Jack and Jacie's closets. Well, let me tell you that my back DID NOT like that!

whew!! Then yesterday was a crazy day of running around everywhere, so I wasn't able to rest it, and it yelled at me again last night. Which brings me to today.. today is rest the ol' back day, and this is why I sit here and write a blog to you!!
First I will start out with yesterday. Yesterday was my amazingly beautiful, smart, talented, wonderful, neice Breanna's birthday!!

Oh my, can't believe she is 11!

So after getting the kids off to school, and finishing their curtains I got a phone call from the school telling me that Ms. Jacie-girl was in the nurses office for an ear ache. Yuck! So I went to pick her up, and I am chalking it up to allergies. Anyway after picking her up we headed to

Yellow Basket (little place to eat) and met Nana, Papa, Aunie (Yvonne), Alex, Katelyn, Uncle Allen, and the birthday girl for a birthday lunch! From there Jace and I went to pick Jack up from school, but before we got there it started pouring down rain..

POURING! By the time we got there, Jack was soaked and thankful to see us!

After coming home, I got some things done around the house, and decided on another project. Breanna said she wanted a stuffed pig for her birthday. Well, of course because I was looking for a stuffed pig, none of the stores had any. Now, if I hadn't been looking for them I woulda found a bundle of them, I'm sure! Anyway, I thought since I couldn't find one, I would make her one!! This is what I came up with...

Yeah its a stretch, but she loved it! She named it "bacon."

Jacie and put her gift together..

So last night we all met up again for dinner at the Yard House restaurant and then back to their house for ice cream cake, and presents.

Saturday we are all meeting up at the ice rink for some more birthday fun, with her friends.. and no, you will not see ice skates on my feet! geesh..

So as you know I am a Pinterest freak! I mean it, I love it! I get amazing ideas, and its just so much fun! Anyway, I saw some ideas on there for closet decor, and followed suit! I wanted to hide the junk in the kids' closets, so I used their old sheets and sewed up some curtains..

So, if I sit on the floor Dolly thinks thats an invite to sit in front of me..
I don't think she was gonna measure and pin for me either

This is the finished product.
Jack's closet before..
Jack's closet after..

Ms. Jacie's closet.

This means I'm that much closer to finishing their rooms. Granted by the time I finish, they will be older, and want to go with different themes. Whatever..
